Dr. Ravi Vattipalli

Dr. Ravi Chandra V is an Orthopaedic Surgeon from Visakhapatnam highly skilled in Limb Reconstruction, Paediatric Orthopedic Surgeon, Joint Replacement Surgeries and Deformity Correction procedures.

Dr. Chandra has MBBS and DNB (Orthopaedic) qualifications to his name. He has received his speciality training at Ganga Hospital (Coimbatore) where he was presented with broad spectrum exposure in various orthopaedic procedures. He has increased his learning curve under the wings of renowned orthopaedic doctors in the fraternity. He perfected his techniques for limb lengthening and deformity correction through a fellowship completed under the tutelage of Dr. Milind Chaudhary, Director of CFIT (Centre for Ilizarov Techniques) Akola. Subsequently, Dr. Chandra pursued sub-speciality training at National University Hospital, Singapore with Prof James Hui as his mentor. Inorder to broaden his base of knowledge regarding Paediatric deformity correction, Dr. Chandra sought relevant training under Prof. Leo Donnan at RCH, Melbourne. While training at NUH, Dr. Chandra received the golden opportunity to participate in the stem cell research program at NUH, working on the use of culture expanded autologous mesenchymal stem cells in the treatment of cartilage defects.

In the past, Dr. Chandra served at reputed hospitals in the country as well as overseas which include Ganga Hospital (Coimbatore), Seven Hills Hospital (Visakhapatnam), Chaudhary Trust Hospital (Akola), National University Hospital (Singapore) and Royal Children’s Hospital (Australia). With a prior appointment, Dr. Chandra can be presently contacted at S G Ortho Care (Andhra Pradesh) and Dasarathi Doctor’s Plaza (Orissa).
